Greetings from the ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Chi Alpha Omega Chapter and welcome to our website where you can learn more about our chapter, programs, and events. 

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® is the first Greek-letter sorority established and incorporated by African American college women.  The sorority was founded on January 15, 1908, at Howard University in Washington, D.C. Chi Alpha Omega Chapter was chartered on April 14, 2002, in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago, IL.  Since that time, our talented, dedicated, visionary and diverse membership has carried on the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. tradition of providing “Supreme Service to All Mankind”.

In 2023 and 2024, Chi Alpha Omega will continue its work executing the International Program Initiatives, Soaring to Greater Heights of Service & Sisterhood of International President & CEO, Danette Anthony Reed. We will deliver programs that address childhood hunger in our local community; raise awareness of mental health challenges and resources; uplift the community; promote economic wealth, financial wellness and entrepreneurship; support our environment through tree planting, gardens, and waste-reduction initiatives; continue our tradition of promoting the vote through voter education, registration and mobilization; and engage young people, to include the Youth Leadership Initiative, a youth-led, interactive leadership development program for youth 11 to 13 years old.

If you are an inactive Alpha Kappa Alpha member, recent graduate, or a general member seeking to affiliate with a graduate chapter, we hope that you will consider joining us in service, as we continue to advance Alpha Kappa Alpha’s vision for the future.
